Crewkerne End of Summer Show has been running every year since 2006, raising funds for many charities. We are once again holding our annual Horse and Dog show in Crewkerne on Saturday September 8th 2018.

This year we will be supporting St. Margaret’s Hospice and Alzheimer’s Research UK: two closely linked charities, which are prevalent to the show organisers and many people in the community.

St Margaret’s Hospice is a charity, delivering high quality responsive and compassionate care to patients and their families facing life-limiting illnesses. There are two main hospice sites, at Yeovil and Taunton, as well as teams who care for patients in their own homes. St. Margaret’s also provides unique opportunities for their patients, in order for individuals to achieve what they want.

Alzheimer’s Research UK funds pioneering research that makes a real difference to people’s lives, now and in the future. Dementia is a result of nerve cells in the brain dying and their innovative research is dedicated to finding out the causes for this, in order to prevent it from happening. Their discoveries are also helping people who already have dementia by new treatments and therapies.

The Horse Show has a diverse schedule of showing, working hunter, show jumping, gymkhana and dressage classes and caters for a range of ages and abilities. Some of the show jumping and dressage classes are Cricklands Qualifiers.

The Dog Show takes place in the afternoon and is comprised of a wide range of Pedigree and Novelty classes. The show is always well attended and is a fun and friendly atmosphere.

We are very grateful to all our sponsors and the Lions Club of Crewkerne, without whom we would be unable to run this event. We also thank judge’s stewards and helpers, who volunteer their time freely in order to make the show a success! We wish all who attend the show a happy and successful day!
